try resolv.

eg,

> require 'resolv'
=> true

> Resolv.getname "10.2.10.123"
=> "bg-mis-pbot.delmonte-phil.com"

i believe that is my pc ;)

> Resolv.getname "10.2.10.23"
=> "bgmissappm00.delmonte-phil.com"
