As painful and ugly as that sounds...we've seen other APIs become actually pretty nice with a little Ruby sprinkled on them, and it's an obvious way to start using it in an existing EE company. For the moment though, we really just need to iron out the embedding story. Three or four different APIs, all slightly different, all with their own compatibility and migration stories. Not the best state of affairs. - Charlie
