Try this:

class FirstClass
    def initialize
        puts "YAY INITIALIZE!"
    end

    def text
        puts "Yay more text!"
        method     # or self.method
    end

    def method
        puts "This is what I want it to show."
    end
end

firstClass = FirstClass.new
firstClass.text
