[Also sent directly to the developers at ipr@notwork.org, but that e-mail was rejected] I was going to check out WEBrick v1.1.3 on a Windows 2000 box. It seems to work OK with the Cygwin build of Ruby distributed by the Pragmatic Programmers. However, I'm also running a Visual C++ build of Ruby 1.6.6. With that build, I can *start* the sample httpd server: C:\src\webrick-1.1.3\sample\httpd>ruby httpd.rb cannot load 'erb/erbl' [2002-01-21 15:53:57] INFO Logging start (level=5). [2002-01-21 15:53:57] DEBUG TCPServer.new(0.0.0.0, 2000) [2002-01-21 15:53:57] INFO WEBrick::HTTPServer#start: pid=1400 port=2000 [2002-01-21 15:53:57] INFO thread(0) start. [2002-01-21 15:53:57] INFO thread(4) start. but when I try to contact the server via my web browser (http://localhost:2000) I get no response (i.e. the browser eventually times out waiting for a response). Has anyone had success running this under a Visual C++ build of Ruby?
