Subject: ANN: rjab-connection 0.1.0 experimental

What: Rjab-connection is a port of D.J Adams' Jabber::Connection module
from perl to ruby.

It's pure Ruby using REXML - thanks SER. :)

The packaging is pretty raw (ok, non-existent - you'll notice my Emacs ~
files in the tar ball...) but if anyone wants to check it out, it works.
See "test.rb" for a _really_ simple client. Unfortunately, there's no
documentation yet, but the API follows the original pretty closely. (see
http://www.piptree.com/jabber/jabberconnection/ for DJ's docs) 

The only things missing right now are heartbeat support, zero-k and
digest authentication, and component authentication. I'll be finishing
out the API, cleaning it up, documenting, etc. in the next couple of
days.

If you're interested in jabber and relatively adventurous, tell me what
you think.
