This is a multi-part message in MIME format. --------------6D6C7B41EF202C64290DA500 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii; x-mac-type="54455854"; x-mac-creator="4D4F5353" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Have to admit I'm making hard work of this... Still not cracked it. I;m trying to read in a line of terxt, delimit it by tabs into an array, then process it. Sometimes in processing a nil element is encountered. This stops everything. Another problem I have is that the text can contain commas. So I'm thinking the arrary changes shape. Also, what is the coding format for reading a file line delimited by \n. (Unix line break...). Should be simple... but examples are almost there.... I will have to read some more scripts. I've not been able to buy a book. I'm learning from URL's. Any assistance appreciated. Thanks.
