What I should have asked instead was does capitalization effect whether or not a method is an instance method or class method (or if a warning is issued when a capitalized method is redefined). The answer to both is no, but on the bright side I have demonstrated the effects of far too many caffeinated beverages and now my question is archived on google for future programmers to enjoy.
