Subject: delete complete content of a dir

Hi,

how could I delete the complete content of a directory containing filled 
dirs which are filled etc.?

Is there any very simple solution, a single method?

I know I could quickly def a meth that recursivley deletes files to 
empty deletion candidate dirs before deleting, but I'd rather use a 
canned solution.
