I think you are in the wrong forum. But to answer your question:

The error is probably here:
  def self.authenticate(login,password)
    find(:first, :conditions => ["login = ? AND password ?", login,
    Digest::SHA1.hexdigest(password)])
  end

This should be

  def self.authenticate(login,password)
    find(:first, :conditions => ["login = ? AND password = ?", login,
    Digest::SHA1.hexdigest(password)])
  end

You missed an "=" :)
