Subject: questions: TkText, TkTextTag, etc

hi all

first:
excuse my bad english, please ;)

im new in ruby, its also my first system oop (i`m more in net thing`s)
but i love`d, its fantastical, the best :D

to learn it, im writing a small editor, under windows, with Ruby
Tk\Tcl.
actually, i operate on an syntaxhighlighting class.

how does the TkTextTag class work`s?
is there anymore info about somewhere (especially for ruby?)
i checked the official tcl/tk manual, but didn`t understand it realy,
and couldn`t port it to ruby (my bad english)

is there a way, to say, when TkText input =~ pattern, change color
or did i have to grap the current word, remove it from the
editor(TkText),
make a TkTextTag out of it, and insert it again?
