I'm not sure what you mean by problems...there have not been problems with them lately; they work as you'd expect native threads to work. They do require a bit more diligence on your part if you're sharing data across the threads, since for performance reasons we don't do any extra synchronization of e.g. Array, Hash, String. But native threads work fine on JRuby. - Charlie
