Subject: FXRuby: tk like Canvas?

Hi,

I am a newbie in this list. I have experience with
perl/tk and java/awt, java/swing.
I would like to have something like a canvas where I can:

draw lines (like in the "scribble"),
set an image as background and
add some buttons as children?

Is it possible?
