These guidelines are not commonly accepted.

I disagree also with one of them in the RFC: always apologize for  
cross-posting. That makes no sense. If in a particular case it's bad  
to cross-post (and it often is), then just don't do it. If it's not  
bad, what's there to apologize for? :)
