Sounds good. Perhaps getting in touch with Sean Russel in RE to REXML 
features you are desiring? He often does very quick releases and is 
very interested in making REXML as useful as possible for your XML 
needs.

I look forward to seeing this project as well! Please make sure you 
do an announcement when it is ready for use ;)
