Subject: [ruby-talk:02987] Winole install trouble


Hi everyone,

I'm trying to test out the latest win32ole, and I'm having a spot
of trouble.

I got the latest ruby 144 zip file, the latest cygwin 1.1.1 dll,
the latest precompiled win32ole.dll, mixed it all
together and I get:

C:\unzipped>ruby x:\ruby\win32ole\sample\excel1.rb

LoadLibraryExA: win32ole.dll
x:\ruby\win32ole\sample\excel1.rb:1:in `require': 
31: A device attached to the system is not functioning.   
- ./lib/win32ole.dll (LoadError)
from x:\ruby\win32ole\sample\excel1.rb:1

Ruby seems to work fine itself, but 
it doesn't seem to like this dll.

Any hints?
