It's not enough to have the mechanism, you also hav=

Well, yeah.  But Matt made it sound like exception handling was a rare= beast and a major decision criterion for selecting languages.  I can = only think of one language left in wide, common use that doesn't have excep= tion handling: C.  (I'm sure others will immediately jump up and list = others, but that's just life.;)
