I don't understand this.  A project is a project, right?

The only thing that presented a problem when converting to an msvc project,
was getting the definition flags correct and knowing what source files to
exclude.  The project I sent should have that information.

What I did was:

1) Build the Ruby source as per the instructions for msvc command line
2) Open vstudio and create a new project for the app and then add every file
in the Ruby source folder to the project.
3) Build repeatedly removing files from project when multiple definition
errors occured and adding defs when missing definition errors occured.

When the build was successful I was done.

When I converted the attachment to a VC++ 6.0 project, it came out as a
vanilla-flavored project and, I'm afraid, didn't provide any real guidance.

I'm sending along more info on what I'm trying to do if you have the change
to read the post to follow.
