Hrm, I think it could have been phrased better.  While I primarily use
Ruby, and in fact primarily use *everything*, on Linux, I think Ruby
support on Windows is extremely important.  I want to be able to deploy
applications across many different OSes, Linux, Window, Mac, etc.  here
at work, but I don't want to have to get a box and compiler for every
OS, or setup a cross compiler.  I was in the past using Python, and I
will use Ruby for new projects, once they come up.  Assuming, of course,
that both Ruby and the necessary extensions function properly across the
OSes I need it to.
