Subject: RubyGems updating metadata

Hello,

I have Ruby on a shared host with gems installing to somewhere in my
local path. I need to update a gem, but as it updates the metadata gem
is killed by my shared host due to excessive resource usage.

I was wondering if I could just transfer the metadata from my local box
to the remote server to avoid this. Where can I find the metadata on my
local box?
