Subject: [ruby-talk:29399] how do I set path or add path

Hello:

I am running Ruby on Linux.  The $LOAD_PATH prints the following
information:
/usr/local/lib/site_ruby/1.6
/usr/local/lib/site_ruby/1.6/i386-linux
/usr/local/lib/site_ruby
/usr/lib/ruby/1.6
/usr/lib/ruby/1.6/i386-linux
.


I installed dbi on the other day and it got installed in
/usr/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.6/dbi
directory.  This path is not included in $LOAD_PATH.  I was wondering
how I can set the path so that ruby will look for dbi module at
/usr/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.6/dbi
I have checked FAQ but I could not see it. I have read about
LD_LIBRARY_PATH but I dont know how to set that path

I would appreciate, if you someone could help with this.
