Hi, question: do you have a document separator between each YAML document?
It's three dashes.

  >> docs = <<END
  - Document 1
  --- 
  - Document 2
  END
  => "- Document 1\n---\n- Document 2\n"
  >> YAML.each_document(docs) { |doc| p doc }
  ["Document 1"]
  ["Document 2"]
  => nil
