XP can sometimes get people to raise their hackles. Sometimes this is because of the enthusiasm of some of the proponents; and sometimes it is because XP challenges certain cherished beliefs. Whatever the reason, the reaction is often to exagerate the claims made by the XP proponents. This reaction is unfortunate. XPers don't claim to walk on water. The don't claim 100% success. They don't claim that it works in every situation for every team. They don't claim 100% test coveragre. They don't claim anthing other than that the practices seem to be working pretty well for them.
