From: Phlip Date: 2001-12-20T13:48:59+09:00 Subject: [ruby-talk:29066] radical.rb "Address already in use" question Rubistas: Here's the steps to reproduce the problem: - Buy a clone AMD 533 - Decline the store help's offer to install "windows" on it (meaning MS Windows, of course) - Slap on Mandrake 8.0 - Slap on X Windows 4.0.3 - Slap on Ruby 1.6.5 or so - Slap on eruby-0.9.6 - Expand radical-0.25 - Run radical : $ ./radical.rb /home/phlip/work/radical-0.25/lib/util/GServer.rb:119:in `new': Address already in use - "bind(2)" (Errno::EADDRINUSE) from /home/phlip/work/radical-0.25/lib/util/GServer.rb:119:in `start' from /home/phlip/work/radical-0.25/lib/util/GServer.rb:115:in `synchronize' from /home/phlip/work/radical-0.25/lib/util/GServer.rb:115:in `start' from ./radical.rb:11 The system thinks I'm binding to a port already in use. I did not change config.rb, and it sez: module Radical module Config DEFAULT_HOSTNAME='127.0.0.1' module HTTPAccel Use=false Port="3128" Addr="localhost" end end end I have apache running on localhost:80, of course, but I have no other HTTP services, or anything on 3128.
