Subject: [ruby-talk:29001] Free web development environment using ruby.

I'm working in a web development environment that uses ruby as main
script language, the basic functionality is already there, I've got
too much work to do and I need help to continue developing it, so I'm
considering open source it.

The basic idea is that the basic html content part of a web site is
created, edit using a wysiwyg web editor (currently only IE is
implemented, plan to add mozilla support as well), as an auxiliar
script language that will be available for the end users to generate
parte of the html dinamically I'm using LUA script language incrusted
in the html that is parsed at the server side, the main server side
functionality is done using ruby (mod_ruby with apache), image
processing is done using Imagemagick (actually only creating
thumbnails), the html pieces and images are stored in a postgresql
database, the images are stored in the database using a reworked
version of mod_blob, using mod_rewrite to redirect virtual directories
and files to be retrieved from the database, use a layout system to
allow split the html pages to prevent code duplication and manage
multi language websites allowing the same imformation be showed in
several ways (layout disposition), I'm looking for a way to allow some
kind of database manipulation to end users using either postgresql
(I'm not sure about a good way to do that right now) or using
something like SQLITE, the system has a basic hierarquical structure
(system owner, website owners, system and website users with a basic
variable rights level).
My idea is to implement functionalities in ruby (mainly but not only)
and put it availlable to end users through LUA language (the last is
necessary because with LUA that is small and simple we can create a
sealed environmetn for each user without compromise the system, of
course allways programing with care).

This is my first anounce and based on the acceptance of it I will work
on documment it and create an appropriate package for it and setup a
cvs server for the development of it or maybe host it in sourceforge.
