Is it possible to make C extensions that require native threads and have them work properly with the current interpreter (this is on linux)? I'm mulling the idea of wrapping a library that is linked with pthread. To get the extension to work at all I also need to start ruby with LD_PRELOAD set to load the pthread library. The threads also make callbacks to ruby methods. Wes.
