I would lean towards simple, clear, unambiguous as well.  Though
I'd be careful about "digest" as that's got an entirely different
(at least as far as I've gathered from this thread) meaning.
ruby-weekly is pretty clear. 

Personally I don't mind a link to a major topic of discussion if it
has kicked up a lot of dust for one reason or another.  I guess some
editorial decision would have to be made as to whether it was
something "news worthy" or not.
