Subject: [ruby-talk:28845] so close and yet so far


Anybody checked out Python 2.2? Type/class unification, subclassing
built-in classes, "attributes" (like accessors), iterators and yield,
generators, integer rollover to bignum. Looks like a tribute to Ruby.
There's a lot of visible patching and mending to get it all to work,
quite an admirable effort. I'm glad Ruby was designed right from the
start, though :)
