Nevermind, I figured it out... ALL the IPs of ALL the participants need to
be real IPs, then nobody gets confused. I actually had my agent running as
'localhost' instead of using the IP of the machine he was running on.

All works well now. :-)

Anybody:

I'm trying to run a client of a remote ruby object via DRb. Works fine when
the host is 'localhost' but the connection is "actively refused" whenever
its anything else. I have a client that attempts to connect to a remote
object which executes the code, redirecting its output to a monitor object,
also running via DRb, on the client machine.

Again, as long as the client is 'localhost', there are no problems. What am
I missing in the DRb module? Is there some special call for remote objects?

BTW, both machines have the same username/password at the administrator
level, they are my laptop and my desktop respectively.
