Works fine when the host is 'localhost' but the connection is "actively refused" whenever its anything else. I have a client that attempts to connect to a remote object which executes the code, redirecting its output to a monitor object, also running via DRb, on the client machine. Again, as long as the client is 'localhost', there are no problems. What am I missing in the DRb module? Is there some special call for remote objects? BTW, both machines have the same username/password at the administrator level, they are my laptop and my desktop respectively. #******************************************* #* Bob Calco #* Senior Software Engineer #* CorTechs, Inc. #******************************************* #* rcalco@cortechs.com #* 703.989.3160 -- cell #* 703.968.7021 -- office (ext. 120) #* 703.968.8180 -- fax #*******************************************
