You're right, but that is the old library. Instead use Hash#rekey

  require 'facets/hash/rekey'

  {"a"=>1}.rekey  #=> {:a=>1}
  {:a=>1}.rekey(&:to_s)  #=> {"a"=>1}
  {"a"=>1}.rekey{|k| k.capitalize}  #=> {"A"=>1}
