It was a secret of the Japanese for a while.

I first heard of it in 1999. At that time, ruby-talk was
fewer than 20 messages a day if I remember right,
and there were not many American-sounding names
on the list (except Dave Thomas and Andy Hunt).
And actually Dave.kind_of? British #=> true
