Since someone mentioned IDE's and Ruby, I've been bursting at my breeches to
express how great RDE (Ruby Development Environment, find it at
http://homepage2.nifty.com/sakazuki/rde_e.html) is. My sincere thanks to the
author(s). I'm hoping someone clever will port it to *nix so we can move
behind it as a standardised Ruby IDE.. or at least, a start on that path.

Its been an excellent couple of days for the Windows Ruby community, with an
excellent class browsing/visual debugging/source highlighting/autocompleting
IDE released, and RubyCOM allowing me to slide Ruby code into the VB I'm
occasionally forced to write at work. I'm kind of surprised at the lack of
hype and excitement... I can only presume that everybody is too busy
enjoying these blessings and coding to post to the list.

Now if the Prag Prog distro of the Windows binaries would move to MSWIN32
(so it might work in IIS CGI), and bundle RDE, I'd be in a new sort of
heaven. :)
