From: Harry Ohlsen Date: 2001-12-12T11:24:05+09:00 Subject: [ruby-talk:28307] Reviews solicited for Ruby article I'm in the process of writing an article on Ruby for a computer science students' society magazine. It's not finished yet ... I've only spent about a day on it in real terms ... but I figure it makes sense to get constructive criticism as early as possible !! You can find the current version at http://users.bigpond.net.au/harryo/article.pdf The audience is computer science students from first year to postgrad and Iguess some of the academic staff may read it, too. I'm looking for any comments at all, but I'm particularly interested in things like ... Have I missed any important features that make Ruby nice? Are there any errors in the code ... or can it be written more clearly/succinctly, without making it hard for someone who hasn't seen the language before to understand? Any suggestions on how to better explain anything? Feel free to post comments to the newsgroup ... I'm not easily offended :-) ... but if you could send me an e-mail, that would be helpful, because then I can send you a quick message when I have newer versions. Thanks in advance, Harry O.
