Subject: [ruby-talk:27930] Does net/http lib work with https?

Hi:

I recently used the net/http class to pull data down
from our intranet for a local mirror at work. I was
suprised by how easy it was. Now, I would like to
automate the extraction of my bank information from
the web. But, of course, the access is through https,
and the exchange requires first logging in then
getting the information. I suspect this means that the
return data will need to be parsed.

So, is it possible to access https urls? If not with
net/http then with what?
And, if so, does anyone have any examples of how this
would be done.
