Subject: [ruby-talk:27915] Ruby IDE?? What about using Eclipse??

Eclipse (www.eclipse.org) is an open extensible IDE (written in Java) that
IBM has open sourced and is using as the IDE framework for all their future
tooling (Websphere, XML, MQSI etc). It also has some other heavy backers
behind it (Borland, Rational, RedHat, SuSE etc).

Now I know its written in Java and not Ruby but is anyone interested in
writing a Ruby tool plugin for Eclipse. It appears to have some really cool
features built in (CVS integration for instance) so a lot of work would
already be done. There is a Java editor implementation that could probably
be used as a starting point for a Ruby editor.

Is this doable?
