I think porting is generally done on an as-needed basis.  Those perl and
python modules that we need, we port, and those that we don't there is
little sense in porting.  The problem, I think, is in determining where
the need lies, and that's where the LibraryModules page comes in handy.

If there's a python module that you want ported that isn't ported,
there's always Ruby/Python:

It seems to work decently, but could certainly use some work.
