Buyer beware ... I signed up with a cheap hosting company called Infinology.
Their support is less that stellar ... my e-mails to them get ignored more
often than not, even if I resend.  Moreover, when a hacker broke into their
"secure by default" server, they provided no support at all. They wouldn't
even let me close down ports. Speaking of ports, they don't even know the
difference between TCP ports and FreeBSD's ports system. Whatever.

Unfortunately, the setup fees for moving to another provider are high enough
to be a serious deterrent. I'm seriously considering getting a DSL
connection from Speakeasy (an ISP that's very friendly to people who want to
run servers at home without paying business-class prices) and running a
server off of a 784 kbps connection. Not as nice as a co-lo, but at least
everything is under my control.
