Subject: [ruby-talk:27723] Interbase driver problems

I am trying to compile the ruby Interbase module, but failing.
I have followed the following instructions given in a previous thread
titled "interbase driver":

ruby extconf.rb
make
make install

but when I try the second command (make), I get the following error:

interbase.c:24: ibase.h: No such file or directory
make: *** [interbase.o] Error 1

Can you please help me determining where is ibase.h or how to get this
problem fixed. 

Suggestion to the creators of the driver: I have noticed several old
postings with similar problem, why is not the binary included with the
driver, this will make it more pleasant for many people.

About my current settings:
* MS-Win 2000
* ruby 1.6.3 (2001-03-19) [i386-cygwin]
* I also have installed the cyqwin tools from RedHat

considering this mailing list. Sorry for repeating.
