Subject: [ruby-talk:27652] require with ruby embedding in c

Hi,
  I'm trying to see how ruby interacts with c.  When i tried embedding a
ruby script inside c like so.....

### C File

#include "ruby.h"

int main()
{
    ruby_init();
    ruby_script("getrbval");
    rb_load_file("getrbval.rb");
    ruby_run();
    return 0;
}

### Ruby File (getrbval.rb)

#!/usr/local/bin/ruby -w
require 'net/http'

....
....
....

the ruby interpretter complains that it cannot find find the required
file 'net/http' or any other file i try to include.  What am I doing
wrong?  The files are included correctly if i just run the script from
the bash shell.  I'm using  i686-linux glibc2.1
