Subject: [ruby-talk:27505] Do we need something like Python-URL?


Python-URL seems to be a weekly summary of activity in the Python world 
which gets send out via a mailing list to interested parties.  What tends 
to happen is that it is sent to places like Linux Weekly News 
(http://lwn.net), Linux Today (http://linuxtoday.com) Linux developer and 
other places so that Python gets publicity on these sites once a week.

We've got Rubygarden which is very good, but perhaps we need something 
like PythonURL that gets send out to 'media outlets' and says "hey, this 
is what's new in RubyLand this week".  

Or perhaps we need to add a weekly summary of activity on the Ruby mailing 
list and comp.lang.Ruby to RubyGarden?   And then send out the link?
