It's been brought to my attention that some people may think that I, in a
recent post ([ruby-talk:27227] Re: OO AI), may have
implied that Tobias Rief encouraged people to "hunt down and belittle all
those without humor and respect."

Please be assured that I have no reason to think Tobias would ever suggest
this, and in fact I believe his posts clearly state the
opposite.

Tobias said he'd "be happy if [a] sense of humor and respect would reign on
this list instead of [a] heated witch-hunt", and I
whole-heartedly agree.

I have too much respect for Tobias to want to deride or misrepresent him.

My intent was to inject some levity into the discussion with an ironic,
self-contradictory suggestion (a witch hunt against those
who witch hunt),  since the original topic was (ostensibly) AI-related, and
AI discussions invariably get around to self-referential
something or other.

(Perhaps I should have posted something in LISP (or just used a (whole) lot
of parenthesis).)
