Why is it noone mentions the cross platform Scintilla based Scite editor? http://www.scintilla.org/SciTE.html It's a nice lightweight editor and it is configurable. It can execute programs and highligt the lines where an error occurs. I also think Scite is going into the Ruby distribution for windows. I'm also at times using gvim - but on Windows I find it kind of weird. Much better than many other unix editors, but also too much to learn - and then I have yet to figure out how to set up a decent default font... At least if you are used to Microsoft Visual C++, Scite is like being at home. It's simple, it works, and it is highly configurable. MikkelFJ
