Subject: [ruby-talk:27129] Executing external programs

Hello to all, I have a problem.
I need to execute an external program from a ruby script.
The name of the program is ALADDIN.
This is what I do under Linux:

'ALADDIN -f inputfile.std > outputfile.std'
Where '' are backquotes.

The same thing doesn't work under windows.
How can I do that under windows?
