I always wondered why JavaScript is missing the '||='
operator (I rarely need a "&&=" one).  Maybe Brendan
was prescient enough to realize an r-value interpretation
would lead to ambiguity.  Maybe, but I still say
it's a bug.  +1 for DavidB.
