Subject: [ruby-talk:26632] REXML and me

Hi everyone,

I thought I'd post this now, although it is a bit premature.

I'm leaving Oregon for a new job in Virginia at the end of the week, and 
I've been pretty busy getting ready to make the move.  I haven't been 
posting updates to REXML, and I've been pretty slow getting the 1.1a5 
release out (it was promised this last weekend!), but I'm trying to get it 
ready to post before I leave for the East coast.  There are numerous bug 
fixes in this upcoming release, and the release after that should see 
complete XPath support (IE, all axes, functions, etc. fully implemented).  
BTW, if someone considers themselves a guru about XPath, email me... I have 
a couple of questions about certain XPath conditions I'd like to have 
cleared up.  In any case, I'm shooting for 1.1a5, and then 1.1b with XPath 
the weekend after next.  After that, development will slow down on REXML 
for a while as I sink into the new job, but I'll continue to post bug fix 
releases.

During the move, I'll probably be out of contact, and there may be a couple 
of days where all email to me bounces, as I relocate/re-co-host my server.  
When this happens, please wait a couple of days and then try again -- don't 
give up!
