	 }
 end
my_array_of_strings=["goes","does","undoes","a long string"]
p1 =cut_off_regexp(my_array_of_strings)
p 'cut off "es" at the end of long strings'
p p1.call(/es$/)
p 'cut out "es" anywhere in a long string'
p p1.call(/es/)
