The audience is a varied group of folks in the IT industry, including
managers, developers, QA folks, sysadmins, etc.  The publication
hasn't provided me with any specific breakdown -- the article should
have broad appeal to readers in the IT industry, with emphasis on
practical application.

From the advocacy point of view, I think it makes sense that the
series have particular appeal for programmers -- after all, they are
the users of Ruby.
