I noticed that you're going from 1.6.4 to 1.6.5. When I installed 1.6.5,
I noticed that it installs itself in a different directory.
	/usr/lib/ruby -> 1.6.4
	/usr/local/lib/ruby -> 1.6.5
Could this have anything to do with your problems?
