There's a working Apache and an application written using eRuby 0.9.6 - all working well. eRuby was compiled with 1.6.4. I compiled Ruby 1.6.5, then compiled eRuby, the same version (0.9.6). My application doesn't work anymore. It doesn't throw that nice eRuby debug screen, the error is: eruby: [BUG] Segmentation fault ruby 1.6.5 (2001-09-19) [i686-linux] [Thu Nov 15 15:57:13 2001] [error] [client 192.168.102.241] Premature end of script headers: /home/wwwroot/cgi-bin/eruby I started digging for the cause. I have excluded wrong Apache configuration, because it works with eRuby compiled with 1.6.4 perfecly well, I even checked it once again. Here's what I've found so far: Even this file: ======================== hello
<% require 'English.rb' %> <%= Time.now %> ======================== causes the error. If I comment the require line, or remove it, it does work. BTW English.rb is just an example, any other 'required' library causes the same error. What is even more amazing is that eRuby DOES work with this file in offline mode: eruby -Mc test2.rhtml the output is: ======================== Content-Type: text/html; charset=iso-8859-1 Content-Length: 73 hello
Thu Nov 15 17:53:16 CET 2001 ======================== What am I missing or doing wrong? I just don't have any idea of what the reason is! Of course I can use my old eRuby executable, but I just can't sleep when I think there's something I can't do ;-) Yuri Leikind
