I've been asked to write a short series of articles (3-5ish) featuring Ruby. The series will feature the development of an application in Ruby. I have a few ideas for the application, but would love to hear what y'all think would be good topics. Bear in mind a few characteristics that an application well-suited to this purpose would possess: 1) Scope. Application can be developed in the length of the series. (3-5 articles of ~1200 words each.) 2) Ruby Character. The application should highlight Ruby's strengths. 3) Utility. The completed application should be of sufficient utility or value that it might spur the reader to download and install Ruby solely so that they can use this application. The ideal application for this series would possess all of these traits, but the first two are most important. So, what do you folks think? What would you like to see this series focus on? -- Colin Steele colin@colinsteele.org / www.colinsteele.org / www.rubycookbook.org From "The Hacker's Dictionary": garbage collect: vi.
